Stuffing a softie is a little more involved than you would think. It often takes me as long to stuff a softie as it took me to sew it! It's not hard to do it right - it just takes some patience. Use this technique whether you're making a squishy loosely-stuffed baby toy or a very firmly-stuffed art doll.
By the way - you all are very close to having all the skills needed to make this little guy.

The chopstick is a great idea! Thanks for the video, I'll be spreading the word.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel! I noticed a lot of visitors from One Pretty Thing this weekend - and they're trying out lots of the free patterns - so thanks for the link!

How do you stuff your fabric weights? Do you use something other than fiberfill, to give them a bit of weight?
ReplyDeleteThanks for 'All' your videos... They totally rock!!
Beth
I used aquarium gravel because I happened to have some on hand (I don't know why - I've never had an aquarium) and it turned out to be the perfect weight. :-)
