I was torn between offering this pattern with a whole flock of simple chickens in various poses and a different pattern with one very fancy rooster - so I tossed it out to the group. A lot of people responded and the flock of chickens was the overwhelming favorite (though enough people liked the fancy rooster that I'll hang on to my sketch and add him later). Thanks to everyone who took the time to offer their help! And thanks for all the comments! A lot of you especially liked the chicks. They were inspired by some drawings my daughter did of egg-shaped chicks with ENORMOUS feet. They'll be popping up again for Easter in a slightly different form.
