Applique Pattern - Anywhere Bear

$5.00

I originally designed this bear as a softie (that pattern is available here) but I loved his original sketch so much that I decided to make an applique pattern of it too.

I'd love to applique a whole series of bears in different colors and then piece their blocks together into a big quilt. And my daughter has requested him on a T-shirt. You really can put him anywhere.

One of the great things about applique patterns is that you can use them for more than applique. They make fabulous collage patterns too. See the same bear worked up in paper on a greeting card?
It would work as an embroidery pattern too.

The pattern shows him appliqued in felt, but you can use any fabric and any applique technique. Just pick your favorite!

What you get:
  • a full-sized pattern
  • complete instructions with photos
Materials you'll need:
  • Fabric scraps for the bear
  • contrasting fabric for his tummy
  • embroidery thread for his face
  • fusible adhesive (optional)
  • needle and thread
Skills you'll need: (links take you to free video tutorials)
Time you'll need:
  • a few hours

$5.00

Have fun and happy stitching!
