Mmmmm. . . strawberries. My daughter and I picked six gallons last weekend and we've been enjoying them all week. Strawberry sorbet, strawberry lemonade, sliced strawberries on pancakes, French toast and ice cream all so, so delicious! So you can see I've had strawberries on the brain and had to do a little berry embroidery too, right?
The circle images are just the right size to top a small jar of strawberry jam. Stitch one up without the running stitch border around it. Cut it out with a generous margin of fabric (I like about 3 inches all the way around) using pinking shears for a cute finish. Remove the canning ring, center the fabric over the sealed lid, and screw the ring back on over the fabric. Easy peasy and so cute!
What you get:
- regular pattern for tracing (total image is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" but the best thing about samplers is pulling out your favorite bits and pieces)
- reversed pattern for iron-on transfer
- complete color and stitch guide
- fabric to stitch on
- favorite pattern transfer tools
- embroidery needle, thread, and hoop
- How to transfer an embroidery pattern
- Backstitch
- Running stitch
- Satin stitch
- Split stitch
- Lazy daisy
- French knot
- 1-2 evenings
$5.00
When you're done - please share your creations at the Shiny Happy Embroidery School group on Flickr! I hope to see some jars of jam in there!
Happy stitching! And have a great weekend!
Best,
Wendi
