Paper + Embroidery = Fun!

Here are a few more of the cards I made for Jo using some of her favorite embroidery patterns with painted paper. (You can see the last batch here.) That first card uses the same three monsters from the Monster Mash embroidery pattern that I embroidered on the Zippered Pouch.
This bird is my favorite from the Bird Sampler pattern. I wish I had used a darker colored card  - I think the bird blends into the background a bit too much.
This is another girl from the Rainbow Girls pattern. I think my next project with these girls will be to blow them up big and use them as applique patterns. They always make me smile. :-)
And finally, Jo said this one was her favorite. It's the Raining Rainbows pattern - the cloud is cut paper, the face is drawn on with a marker, and the raindrops are stitched with embroidery thread. Want to learn to stitch on paper? It's easy! I shot a video using this very card as an example. I'm hoping to have it edited and posted tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Best,
Wendi
