ED EMBERLEY!
I'm still breathing hard from running around my (totally empty) house with flailing Muppet arms yelling WOO! HOO! (Note to self: exercise more.)Maybe it's a little silly to be so excited about a fabric line - but it's Ed Emberley! I have nine books in my Favorite Drawing Books section of this site - every one of them by Ed Emberley.
I read the announcement five minutes ago and they don't even have sneak peeks or anything - but I'm already planning projects that will use this fabric. Must get out my sketchbook right now. . .
La la la la la la la la la. . . I'm so happy!
Have a great day everyone!
Best,
Wendi
La, la, la, la, la. Great news. Please post samples as soon as you find them.
ReplyDeletegod bless you for writing sneak peeks right. It has been a long time since I've seen that in blogland.
ReplyDeleteThey probably won't have samples available until Quilt Market this fall - but I'll be on the lookout!
ReplyDeleteMy son loves Ed Emberly as well and when he was very little he wrote Ed a letter. He very graciously wrote him back and included a drawing and a special halogram envelope. Fred is 24 and an aspiring artist.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great story! So many of my favorite artists were influenced by Ed Emberley. Do you know the work of Nate Wragg? He did a terrific Ed Emberley tribute piece last year. You can see it at http://n8wragg.blogspot.com/2010/07/ed-emberley-tribute.html.
ReplyDeleteHana! I totally giggled.
ReplyDeleteI'm still feeling a little giggly myself. :-)
ReplyDeleteI will join you with flailing Muppet arms! Ed Emberley!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's always a little lonely (and maybe a tad silly) to do flailing Muppet arms all alone. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh man, I'm right there with you on the arm-flailing! I can't WAIT for a sneak peek... he's one of my all-time favorites too.
