WIP Wednesday

Today I'm just popping in to show you some of my current works in progress. I'm using a bunch of denim scraps (and some cotton prints) to make a bag for my daughter's fencing gear. It needs to hold a sword, a bulky mask/helmet, and her jacket and other protective gear - so kind of an odd shape. And it needs a shoulder strap and shorter handles so she can carry it all herself. If any of you are interested in a tutorial for making a bag to hold odd-shaped gear, let me know!
I finished stitching samples of the girls for the pendants and they're SO CUTE! I'm waiting for the last component for the kits - hoping those will come in next week. I'm hoping to finish all the patterns next week too.
Finally - I've been working on making a witch out of my regular rag doll pattern. I gave her green skin and green highlights in her black hair. Her body is lovely embossed velvet. I still need to make her a skirt and a finish her witch hat. That's on my list for this afternoon - if I get it done I'll have the pattern for you (free!) tomorrow.

What's stacked on your sewing table? Share your works in progress in the comments!

Best,
Wendi

  1. I still haven't finished unpacking but I have a king size bedskirt, 3 18x18 pillows, and a 9X36 bolster almost all cut out that is being picked up on Friday by the decorator for whom I sew.
