Jacintha is My New Hero

Seriously. Wait until you hear this.

She bought the 15-Minute Skirt one morning. I sent her the links to download the pattern and watch the video. That very same afternoon she sent me these photos!

What kind of superwoman buys a pattern in the morning, makes and photographs it the same day and sends a bubbly note?!
Looky!!!  I did it!!! YEAH...Attached are 3 pixs of my first skirt.  I'm now starting on my 2nd.  Thank you so much for this soooo soooo simple pattern.  Play skirts here we come!  ha.
She is clearly not the kind of woman who leaves items in her sewing basket until her child outgrows them. Ahem.

Oh. And when I contacted her (in kind of a dazed shock) and commented on her amazing speed she added this. . .
I am a Beginner sewer. As in a very beginner. This is like my first or second outfit so yes this is a very simple pattern for we who are learning.
So, Jacintha. You are my new hero and role model. You are an amazing woman and I really like the skirt you made.

I love the music notes trim!

I hope your daughter likes it too. I can't WAIT to see what you make next! :-)

Anyone else want to make some comfy play skirts for this summer? You can find the pattern here.

Happy sewing!

Best,
Wendi

  1. I vote for Jacintha for hero as well!! I seldom seem to finish anything. And Wendi, I have far surpassed you with things that don't get finished in time. Like the baby romper that was still undone four year after the child got married. Or the "triplets" dresses for my girls, that got cut out and never had a stitch sewn - fifteen years ago!! I got rid of most of the undone projects when I moved across country six years ago, but I have a whole new collection going right now. It makes my tummy sick. Happy Day! Great post!!

    2. Thank you for posting your history of unfinished projects. I started a baby quilt when i was pregnant with my daughter. She is now 32 . Lol, i finished it for her 3rd child. Im not feeling so bad now that i know there are enough people like me that we could start a club. You go Jacintha! I think i,ll go "finish something". Maggie
