Shiny Happy News - including a sale!

The Shiny Happy Newsletter has a new format - and new happy content. Are you signed up? Have you seen it? What do you think?

Of course I'll still be letting you know about new patterns and videos, but there's so much more happy stuff out there than just what I make! So now I'll be including more links to fun patterns from other designers, free tutorials from other people, favorite pins from Pinterest, yummy recipes, fun and easy craft ideas, lovely fabrics and more. In a nutshell, if it makes me smile - and if I think it will make you smile - I might put it in the newsletter.

I'll be sending it out every Monday - because we all need a little something extra to smile about on Mondays. :-)

One of the reasons I'm doing this is because some of the changes Facebook has been making lately. I love Facebook and the easy conversations we have over there. But now - even if you've "liked" the Shiny Happy World page - you'll actually get very few of the posts posted to your wall. Unless I pay to "promote" the posts, which really isn't feasible for my business.

So here's a quick rundown of how I communicate with all of you.

The blog is where I show new patterns, post video lessons, share show & tells, show some occasional work in progress, etc. It's also the clearing house where you can come to find links to past videos (see the tabs up top). Overall it's pretty tightly focused on the patterns I design and lessons on how to make them.

Facebook (and now the newsletter) is where I share everything on the blog, but also talk about food (definitely a happy thing in my book), link to new fabric I covet, handmade things I think you all would like, music videos with crafty backgrounds, etc. It's a little bit more of a view behind the scenes in my Shiny Happy World.

Pinterest is my wish list. It's where I pin fabric I want to buy, handmade goodies I swoon over, recipes I want to try, and inspiration boards for my illustrations.
