Free Pattern to Turn Your Rag Doll into an Elf - or Mrs. Claus!
Turn your Shiny Happy rag doll into a perky holiday elf or Mrs. Claus with this free add-on pattern.
Mrs. Claus didn't require many changes. I used fluffy white polar fleece for her hair (instead of felt) and stitched the swirls in red. I added some glasses when I embroidered her face and chose red and white for all her clothes. (I love the red and white striped tights.) I replaced the regular rag doll arm pattern with the long-sleeves and hands in the holiday add-on. Easy peasy!
Holly the elf got a little more fancy. I used the long-sleeves and hands pattern (like I did for Mrs. Claus) and I also replaced the regular doll boots with these curly-toed elf boots and sewed little jingle bells to the tips. Fun! She also gets a Santa-style hat with a jingle bell on the point. She's very jingly. :-)
So - the holiday add-on includes patterns for the long sleeves and hands, the curly-toed elf boots, and the Santa hat. You can download it here. It's designed to work with the regular doll pattern - available here.
Happy sewing!
Best,
Wendi
