FREE Patterns for Last-Minute Gifts

It's getting pretty close to Christmas - too late for ordering much of anything that needs to ship. But there's plenty of time to make something, especially when you can download the pattern instantly. :-) And do I have a lot of free patterns for you - great stuff for all kinds of gifts!

Need something for a stitchy friend? There's that cute pincushion you see above, a needle cushion (my favorite thing ever!), simple pattern weights, fancy pattern weights - all kinds of good sewing stuff!

Got a kid on your list? These snake charmers are a fabulous toy for both boys and girls over 3. Or you could make a five stones game, or a cool puppet theater to fit in a doorway.

Need a hostess gift? These cloth napkins are easy to whip up. A nice rice bag is also a welcome gift this time of year.

Babies can never have too many receiving blankets.

Want to add a handmade touch to a tech gift? This pattern makes covers that fit everything from MP3 players to tablets and laptops.

Speaking of wrapping - I've got free patterns for all kinds of bags and pouches. These little goody bags are great for holding candy and other small gifts. The mini tote bag is nice for holding books, and a zippered pouch like this is good for tons of things.

Most of these projects are super easy - someone with little or no sewing experience can whip many of them up in an hour or less. Do you think that's a lot of free patterns? It's not even all of them! See the whole list here - and shop the Shiny Happy Shop for everything else - softies, aprons, quilts, embroidery and more, all designed to make you smile and get you stitching. :-)

Have a great weekend everyone! Make something fun!

Best,
Wendi
