It's another day closer to Christmas - time for another bag you can use as wrapping!
Get the free pattern for this zippered pouch here. I stitched a few monsters from
the Monster Mash embroidery pattern on the sample you see on the cover - but at this point you'll probably want to just whip one up with some super-cute fabric. :-)
Happy stitching!
Best,
Wendi
Happy holidays! Just found your blog and have added it to my home page! So excited to look around while on vacation! If I make something inspired by you, I promise to send a picture. First try, zippered pouch with a shirt that doesn't fit her anymore that she brought home from Lebanon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your passion.

Welcome! I can't wait to see what you make!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this pattern! I have been sewing for years but have this "thing" about zippers. Your pictures and instructions made it so easy. Now to give a zippered dress a try!
ReplyDeleteSorry to be a little late responding to this - I've been sick and I'm just now getting caught up on email. But if you're going to try a zippered dress - take a look at this video too. http://wendigratz.blogspot.com/2011/08/video-how-to-sew-zipper-in-seam.html It's the zipper technique used most often in clothing because the finished zipper will be a bit hidden behind the flaps of fabric.
DeleteGood luck!
Hi wendi! I love your hand made craft but i don't attend any embroidery class.I just learn basic stitch from books and watching your video on YT and i really wanna make a pouch from cotton felt plus with stitches on it. Which one is better for stitch? Is it polyester or satin thread?
ReplyDeleteI like to use regular DMC thread, which is 100% cotton.
