Thanks so much to everyone who responded to my call for names for these little guys! Your suggestions were AWESOME!
The random number generator chose #6 to win the samples I stitched up. That's you Terri Sue! Here's what Terri Sue said. . .
I really like number four. When I saw him I immediately thought "my little Pearody." He's adorable. I want to embroider him up on a onesie for my grandson.
For the final name selection I asked my daughter to pick her favorites.
This guy got the fewest votes - and just one name suggestion - Snorky. I like it! Snorky it is! Thanks Threadspace!
I like the little scaly eggy one - I'd have to call him Snorky, which is my son's pet name, because he also seems to grow little horns when he's cutting new teeth.
I love these - they're clearly friendly monsters, and wouldn't hurt you. They're totally "'armless". (sorry 'bout that)
Jo likes the name Stumpy for this one. Thanks lv!
like them all but will go with the pink one named "stumpy" cute idea
I like the froggy looking one, I'd call him WHUMPY (don't ask me why, even though he's not lumpy, he just looks like a Whumpy to me.)
And this one is Grist. Thanks Andrea! Andrea said. . .
Hi Wendy!Grist was (by far!) the favorite. You guys are weird - I like it! :-)
I also like #4, and I would name him GRIST!
(short I vowel sound)
(don't ask me why...) I think it's the smile!
Thanks for the giveaway opp!
Aloha,
Andrea
Terri Sue - send me your snail mail address so I can send you your stitched monsters. And Threadspace, lv, Caren, and Andrea - later today I'll send each of you a gift certificate. Right now I have to drive my daughter to a playdate.
Thanks everyone for playing! If you want to stitch up your own Snorky, Whumpy, Stumpy, or Grist - you can find the pattern here.
Happy Wednesday!
Best,
Wendi
how funny! I like 'armless monsters! And thank, Jo for picking Whumpy. He's a-dork-able! :)
ReplyDeleteHeehee. They are cute no matter what their names are!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendi - What fun!
ReplyDeleteApols for the tardy response. house full of visiting family etc (oh. and my snorky still teething, horns and all!)
I came across some cute little upholstered toothfairy keepsake boxes recently, and i think your snorky would be fab appearing on the lid.
