Happy Drawing = Happy Sewing
My sewing machine is freshly tuned and raring to go - so the first thing I made was a cover for it. I've always wanted to be able to cover my machine at the end of the day but never got around to actually doing it - until now. I decided on the giraffes print from Ed Emberley's Happy Drawing fabric collection - with orange scribbles on the sides. I asked my daughter if I should do any patchwork on the front. Her answer? "No way! Those giraffes are awesome! Keep them big." I can't argue with that - they are indeed awesome. But I thought you all might want to see that you can do some piecing too - so I made the cover reversible and did some piecing on the other side.
Free tutorial coming soon - I'll show you how to fit the cover to your machine.
Speaking of coming soon - the fabric will be available any time now. I haven't seen it yet to preorder at any of my regular online fabric haunts - but it looks like Fabric Worm is showing the whole collection. Soon! Very soon!
Happy sewing!
Best,
Wendi
