I've been teaching camps for two weeks and everything else in my life has fallen apart while I was so busy. I haven't had a chance to put away all the supplies from
sewing camp - and now my kitchen is all destroyed too.
I brought most of my pantry to camp, along with all my canning jars and a kajillion other supplies. So I spent the weekend slowing putting my kitchen back together and today I'm tackling my sewing room.
So. Much. Stuff.
So. Many. Piles.
I've got a lot of projects I'm exited to jump into and I can't wait to have a nice clean table to work on. See you tomorrow!
Happy Monday!
Best,
Wendi
Bless you! Thank you for documenting your mess...it makes me feel better about mine!

DeleteMy messes are worse but it is good to clean 'em up before you start new fun stuff!
ReplyDeleteThe amazing thing is that I've been able to keep it clean for a whole week. :-)
DeleteJo's shorter haircut looks adorable on her!
ReplyDeleteQuestion-- what is Jo drinking in the pic above?
Beth
She's not actually going to drink that. :-) It's water with a little bit of ammonia in it, a squirt of Universal Indicator, and a chunk of dry ice. Ammonia is a base, but as the dry ice sublimates it makes the liquid it's in more acidic, so the liquid goes through several color changes while it smokes and mists. Fun! The "smoke" is carbon dioxide with water vapor. Since it's denser than air you can actually pour it - which is very fun.
DeleteYou can drink things with dry ice - you just have to start with something potable. For snack one day I served the kids apple juice with dry ice in it. The dry ice carbonates the juice and they can drink it as soon as the ice is all gone. (Dry ice to too cold to touch - so they have to wait for it to disappear before they drink.) Did I mention that it was a very fun camp? :-)
