Easy (and Comfy!) T-shirt Dress Pattern

This is, hands-down, Jo's favorite kind of dress. I'm not exaggerating when I say she has at least ten of them in her closet right now. They are almost always the first thing she pulls out to wear, and I now use the same technique to make all her nightgowns too. They're that comfy.

When you buy the pattern you'll get:

A basic A-line dress pattern for sized 3-8. You can use this to make up a dress in purchased yardage or. . .

Follow the instructions in the PDF to make the dress out of a men's T-shirt.

Video! There's a companion video showing you every step in the construction of one dress.
These are awesomely easy and take less than an hour to make.

Besides the T-shirt there's one additional supply you'll need. It's called foldover elastic and it's amazing. I get all mine at Sewzanne's. She carries a huge rainbow of colors and it's crazy cheap. Seriously. $0.50/yard for pure awesome.

Ready to make a slew of comfy dresses? Get the pattern here.

This is part of the Shirt Off Daddy's Back pattern of the month series - so if you've already bought that, don't buy this pattern separately. :-) It'll be #8 in your series. If you want in on all the monthly fun you can buy that package here. (Psst - there's a nice discount when you buy the bundle.)

Oh - and I have to show you one more photo of Jo modeling that dress.

She thought a yoga pose would be just the thing to show you how comfy these dresses are. I love that kid. :-)

Happy Friday everyone. Have a fabulous weekend!

Best,
Wendi
