Fat Cat Softie

This is the not-so-little guy I've been working on lately. He's exceedingly huggable. :-)

I can't believe I've never made a cat softie before! How can that be? I love cats - and they come in all kinds of fun shapes. I made this one to look like those big tomcats with the wiiiiiiide heads - but I also want to make a long lanky cat, and a fat cat with a tiny head (like a tom that was neutered young) and. . . and. . . and. . . so many others! I think there will be a whole series of cat patterns coming soon. :-)

In the meantime - this guy's pattern will possibly be available as early as Friday. Jo has requested a second version with a bigger face - using some very fancy safety eyes we have. So I'm going to try to make the time to sew a second one tomorrow - and include a design for a larger face when I put the pattern together.
