Merry Meerkats - a new applique pattern
There's a new pattern in the shop - the newest in the Safari Block of the Month series. Meet the Merry Meerkats!
I had to include a few meerkats on this block because you never see just one by himself. :-) That means the pieces are a little smaller than usual, but still not too small to handle easily. The only exception are their itty bitty ears and I include special instructions giving you a few options for how to deal with them, depending on your fabric choices.
Like all the other blocks in the Safari quilt, I designed this pattern especially for beginners. It uses an easy (and fast and durable!) machine applique technique that I love.
I need to design a new mock-up that includes the giraffe, but here you can see the other animals in the series so far. They're starting to look so cute together!
You can buy the Merry Meerkats applique pattern here, or sign up for the whole Safari Block of the Month collection here and get a new pattern in your inbox every month for a year.
Happy quilting!
Best,
Wendi
