Graceful Gazelle - new applique pattern
There's a graceful gazelle in the shop today. She's another taaaall one. Take a look at those lovely horns. . .
I thought those long, slender tips might be tricky to applique (that's why I saved this for one of the last patterns) but they were actually a cinch. Nothing to fear with this pattern!
Like all Shiny Happy World patterns, this one is full of links to videos teaching you everything you'll need to know to complete the project. Here's a peek at the rest of the blocks in the series.
I'll be able to show you the finished quilt sooooooo soon! In the meantime - if you want to join in the Safari Quilt Block of the Month fun, you can get all the info right here. You'll get a new pattern by email every month - and as soon as I finish the last block you'll also get an email linking to all the patterns, so you can power through them at lightning speed if that's more your style. :-)
If you want to make just the gazelle you can get her pattern here. The block is 16 inches square x 31 1/2 inches tall. You get a full size pattern, but also a single page, smaller pattern for easier enlarging and reducing to whatever size you like. Applique it on a T-shirt. Use it for embroidery. Try cut paper collage. Heck - you could even use it as a pattern for woodburning. :-)
And just a quick reminder - now is a great time to buy the whole Safari series. Everything in the shop is 20% off through Friday night with code FIRESIDE. That's on top of the discount you already get by buying the bundle! See all the sale details here.
Happy quilting! I'm off to finish a very toothy crocodile. :-)
Best,
Wendi
