Watch Out - There's a Cranky Crocodile in the Shop!

Oh - you think that's a lot of teeth? Wait until you see the whoooooooole thing. Look!

Don't worry - you don't have to place and applique each tooth individually. I show you a trick for handling each row of teeth as one applique piece. There's still a lot of zigging and zagging when you stitch it down, but not as much worry about pieces shifting.

Just like all the other Shiny Happy World patterns, this one has links to videos teaching you all the skills you'll need to complete the project. You can do this!

Here's a peek at most of the blocks so far.

I'll be able to show you the finished quilt sooooooo soon! In the meantime - if you want to join in the Safari Quilt Block of the Month fun, you can get all the info right here. You'll get a new pattern by email every month - and as soon as I finish the last block you'll also get an email linking to all the patterns, so you can power through them at lightning speed if that's more your style. :-)

If you want to make just the crocodile you can get his pattern here. The block is 16 inches tall x 31 1/2 inches wide. You get a full size pattern, but also a single page, smaller pattern for easier enlarging and reducing to whatever size you like. Use it for smaller applique, embroidery, collage - whatever you like!

And just a quick reminder - now is a great time to buy the whole Safari series. Everything in the shop is 20% off through Friday night with code FIRESIDE. That's on top of the discount you already get by buying the bundle! See all the sale details here.

Happy quilting! I'm off to finish a BIG elephant. :-)

Best,
Wendi
