A Feeling Stitchy Embroidery Contest!

 

Feeling Stitchy (my favorite spot for stitchy inspiration!) is having an embroidery contest. Click here for all the details - but here it is in a nutshell. . .

It's called Covered in Stitches and it's inspired by the lovely book covers designed and stitched by Jillian Tamaki for Penguin. I love them all - but I'm completely entraced by the hair on the Emma cover.

Anyway - your mission (if you choose to accept it) is to stitch up a book cover. It can be a cover of your own design, or you can do a stitched version of an existing book cover. Again, visit Feeling Stitchy for the complete details.

Oh! And I'm contributing a couple of the prizes! The first and second runners up will each get $15 gift certificates to my shop. I think that means I can't actually be in the contest, but I will try to find the time to stitch along anyway. I know exactly what cover I'd like to do. . .

Gorgeous, no? And the book is about embroidery! (And much, much more). This book is so fabulous it deserves its own post. Maybe tomorrow. In the meantime, who wants to participate? And what would you like to stitch!
