Daily Swoon: Sleepy Fox

Look at the sweet embroidery pattern I found to start your week. Isn't he gorgeous? The pattern is designed by Amy Bindel and available here as a PDF.
Happy Monday everyone!

Best,
Wendi

  1. This is so lovely! D'you think it would be OK for a beginner, Wendi?

  2. I now look like this fox. I want to curl up and sleep under a blanket. It's cold outside....Thank you!

  3. Jo - as far as stitch difficulty, there's nothing there a beginner can't do. You could do the outlines in split stitch or backstitch, and satin stitch his nose. All the fur is essentially little straight stitches. They're very easy to do - but her pattern doesn't include the markings for them, so you'd need to lay out the placement yourself. Also - she doesn't mention a color guide - so I assume you'd be choosing your own thread colors too. She has a nice clear photo there you can use as a guide - so it's really all about how comfortable you are with adding the details yourself.
