Nancy is one of the people I've mentioned who is zooming through the Safari blocks at lightning speed. She just purchased the pattern a few weeks ago and is hoping to finish the whole quilt in time for a Christmas gift for her new grandson. Wow!
Here's something else cool - she's not doing any handwork at all! She said she's using a utility stitch on her machine for the mouths, and one of the fancy decorative stitches for the eyes. Something for those of you with fancy-schmancy machines to keep in mind. :-)
Nancy is doing her blocks in natural colors like I did - but for another approach go take a look at
Stacie's Safari blocks in red and white. Last time she checked in she had five blocks finished and they were looking terrific. We'd love to see more if you want to share again!
