The Basic Beanie - sewing pattern PDF

$5.00

The basic beanie. A classic playful hat - and so very adaptable. Wear it with the brim up. Or down.
Use a variety of fabrics for a scrappy look - or embellish a solid with a bit of embroidery.
I used the free Sly Cat embroidery pattern reduced in size to fit on one panel of the hat.

Add a tassel.
Or maybe a pompom.
Make one for yourself - and a matching one for a friend.
What you get:
  • full-sized pattern in sizes to fit men, women, kids, and American Girl dolls.
  • complete sewing instructions with loads of step by step photos
Materials you'll need:
  • 1/4 yd. fabric each for hat and lining (kid and doll size can use a fat quarter, adult sizes need to be regular cuts)
  • 15-27 inches of 5/8" wide grosgrain ribbon
Skills you'll need:
Time you'll need:
  • 3-4 hours
 $5.00

Have fun and happy stitching!

Best,
Wendi

  2. Thanks Becky! Jo is kind enough to be my model any time I ask her. The only payment she ever requests is to keep the item she's modeling. :-)
