Show & Tell Time!

Kidsinthestudio is making some beanbags with the Rainbow Girls embroidery pattern. Don't they look terrific paired with those bright fabrics? I can't wait to see them finished! Also - the layout in Amy's photo has me thinking DOLL QUILT. That's been on the list of patterns I want to design - and it may have just gotten bumped up a few spaces.

And I thought I'd jump in and show you the new Beast Bag I made as a gift for a friend. I decided to make him up in a fun print this time. I've had this fabric in my stash for YEARS and have never had just the right project for it. I'm so glad I saved it because I think it made a most excellent monster skin. :-)

The buttons I used for the pupils in his eyes are slightly bigger than what the pattern calls for. The bold pattern just seemed to call for it.

What are all of you making? Post your work on Flickr in the embroidery group or the sewing group. Or tell us about it here in the comments!

Best,
Wendi

  2. I briefly thought of a quilt, too, but not just yet. When I begin learning to quilt, though, I'm starting with a doll-size one!

The monster bag is super fun!
