More recently she's been making even more bags for Craft Hope 16 - to send to kids in Minnesota undergoing cancer treatment. Look at these beauties!
I love how she ran the stripes on the first bag in two different directions! It really makes that pocket look like a jaw. :-)
And check out the crazy eyes on these!
The brightly colored eyes on the black and white bags are such fun!
When I contacted her about the bags she sent back a really nice note.
I love how quickly they can be sewn up and how differently they can look just by changing fabrics and eye placement.
My kids love to take them to the library and I thought they'd be just the thing to make the kids smile for Craft Hope Project 16.
Thanks Poppy! You did a fabulous job with these and I can't wait to see what you make next!
Want to make your own? Get your Beast Bag Library Tote Bag pattern here. And have fun!
Please share your finished projects! I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see how you all use my patterns! You can post a photo to the sewing or embroidery groups on Flickr, or simply email them to me. I do a little Snoopy dance every time I get one of these emails. :-)
Happy Thursday!
Best,
Wendi

Such a cute bag and what a wonderful way to utilize the pattern!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feature, Wendi! I hope more people are inspired to make their own Beasts!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU - for making them and then so generously giving them away! I'm going to start tracking the Craft Hope projects and linking up to them here.
