KCWC Day 2: Toomuchery Skirt
Day 2 of the Kids Sewing Week Challenge. I'm away from home (and my sewing machine - ack!) but I sewed up a storm this weekend so I could still play along. This is Jo's favorite skirt of all the ones I made for the week. She showed excellent taste when she chose the fabric. . .
Isn't that fabulous? It's called Toomuchery - designed by Helen Dardik.
The pattern is simple - it's a gathered A-line skirt with a simple elastic waistband and a ruffle at the bottom instead of a hem. Easy peasy. You can find the pattern here. And Jo loves it! She loves it so much that she asked me to make her a few more in the same style with other favorite fabrics. I only got one done so far - I'll share it on Thursday. The others are in the To Do Basket. :-)
Happy sewing everyone!
Best,
Wendi
That is GREAT fabric!! I'm not playing along with KSWC. I'm solo parenting this week and really, that's challenge enough. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! That is challenge enough. :-) Have a great week!
DeleteI loved making clothes for my kids when they were little! Jo is one lucky gal!
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky that she REALLY likes me to make things for her. :-)
