New Pattern: Convertible Skirt/Tube Top Dress - designed by Jo!

$5.00

You know all those cute dresses with the smocked tops? The ones you can do with smocking or with elastic in your bobbin? Well - they itch like CRAZY. I had one as a kid - and I despised it with every fiber of my being. Jo has tried on several cute ones - but all were too itchy to purchase. Sad.

Then one day Jo got creative with one of her skirts with a yoga-style waistband. She unfolded the waist and pulled it up to her chest - then ran out to show me her new "dress." Clever! And totally non-itchy. :-) She quickly realized that the top slid down when she played - so we added some straps to hold it up. Then she decided that she wanted make the straps removable so it could be a skirt OR a dress. And voila! The convertible skirt/tube top dress was born.

Now you can make one too. :-) With your purchase you'll get a downloadable PDF of the skirt/dress pattern, and a link to the companion video taking you step by step through the construction.

You can make this from a T-shirt or a button-down shirt - or from purchased fabric.

This pattern/video is part of the Shirt Off Daddy's Back Pattern of the Month Collection. You can purchase just this pattern here, or purchase the whole collection at a discounted price here and have a new pattern magically delivered to your inbox every month.

Have a terrific weekend everyone! Happy sewing!

Best,
Wendi
