My friend Michael Kline has been posting occasional "Clean Plate" photos on his blog - showing his lunch, and then the pretty plate he ate it on. Michael is a potter - so I thought I'd start with one of my favorite plates made by him. :-)
So my lunch - a delicious juicy peach from South Carolina (brought home by my husband after he spoke at a conference there) and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Mmmmmm. . . nom. . . nom!
Isn't this plate gorgeous? You can see more of Michael's work here. All his work is fired on a wood kiln and uses a salt glaze. My husband often helps stoke the fire. He loves a day away from his desk spent burning things at very high temperatures. :-)
Happy Monday everyone!
Best,
Wendi
