Inspirational Art

I've tried to photograph this wall so many times - and I'm never happy with how it turns out. This photo is no different. There's a row of windows on the wall behind where I'm standing, and on the wall to the left of me - so if it's light enough out to take a photo there are awkward blocks of light reflected in the glass of the frames. But I decided to share it anyway because it's one of my favorite walls in our house. This is the stairway that leads from my sewing room up to my husband's office, and it gets a lot of traffic. :-)

Some of my favorite artists are represented on this wall - William Joyce, Maurice Sendak, Mary GrandPre, Lane Smith, Peter Sis, Kevin Henkes, Fred Marcellino, Dan Yaccarino - I love them all and seeing their artwork every day inspires me.
