I'm Writing a Book!

So much newsy news to share with you all - but I'm starting with the biggest news of all. I'm writing a book! (insert flailing Muppet arms here) Actually - I've been writing a book all summer, but I just signed the contract a few weeks ago. :-)

I can't share many details yet, but I can tell you it's about sewing softies, will come out next fall, and Jo (age 10 now!) has successfully made every project in the book. So - more details to come as soon as I can share them! In the meantime, blogging and new patterns will continue to be a little more sporadic than usual while I wrap up the first draft this month.

Gah! It's so hard not to share more! I'm super excited about this project! And all the finished projects are sitting in a big colorful pile right behind me, just waiting for you all to peek at them. But I can't! (insert Peanuts-style howl of anguish here)

I promise not to irritate you with lots of posts about "all the great things happening behind the scenes that I can't share yet" but this was so huge I couldn't hold it in any longer. :-)

Happy Wednesday!

Best,
Wendi

Good for you!!! And congrats on all the Dragon Con awards. I live in Atlanta and was there and I half way expected I'd see your GIANT and AWESOME costume. Well done!

    1. Thanks! The giant Totoro was pretty unwieldy so we only showed him in the Masquerade and then for a brief time at the Marriott afterward.

    1. People like you are one of the reasons I went ahead and made the announcement - even though there was so little I could share. I was starting to get some emails asking whatever happened to the proposals and I wanted to give a quick (though brief) update. :-)
