New Pattern - a Fancy Flamingo

There's a Fancy Flamingo in the shop - the newest addition to the Safari Block of the Month series. This is another taaaaaaaaall block. Here she is in all her curvy glory.

Look at that - just two pieces! Yep - two pieces - but one of them uses a new skill. See the point at the tip of the beak? That's the trickiest shape to handle with machine applique. No worries though. Yesterday I released a video showing just how to do it. This block has just one point - great for getting started. Tomorrow there will be a rhino with three points and next week - well, next week there will be a crocodile and crocodiles have lots of pointy bits. :-) Start now with just one easy one.

If you're already signed up for the Safari Block of the Month don't buy this. You'll get it emailed to you. If you're not already signed up for the series you can get in on the fun here. Or you can buy the flamingo block all on its own here.

Happy stitching!

Best,
Wendi
