Lots More Easter Crafting

Miss_honeyb posted this terrific image over in the Flickr embroidery group. Her four kids (ages 2 1/2 to 13) made them! You can read more about it here - and if you want to make your own, the free pattern is here

Also from Flickr - this time from the sewing group - I found these cute bunnies from karen15. She says. . .
My daughter made the rainbow one (all except sewing up the gap..she was tired and wanted it done now!) and I made the blue one. All five fabrics are special to us in some way...so this is a double memory, both the fun we had making them and the memory of the special items made of the fabric originally.
That rainbow one with the shiny silver ears soooo reminds me of my 70s childhood. In a good, happy way. :-)

Carrie made this super cute mama and baby bunnies.
I've had a blast making your bunnies, especially this set. After I finished the full size one I just had to make her a couple of her own : )
What a sweet bunny family!

Karla shared her very first bunny over on Facebook. She made her out of anti-pill fleece - and then used minky in the ears! She says, "This softie is extra soft." :-) I'll bet it is!

And last - but not least - Poppy (known on Flickr as xperimentl) made three colorful bunnies. I love the contrast between the polkadot bodies and the grid ears in the first two. . .

But I especially love the fabrics for this one. . .

She writes that the body is made from a blue bed sheet and the ear linings are from a beloved pair of retired boxer shorts. I love it! Old sheets make super soft softies, and men's boxers often have the best patterns on them. I'm always happy when my husband retires a pair and I get to have the fabric. :-)

I just love seeing all these bunnies gathered together - thanks so much to all of you for sharing! And everyone else out there - there's still time to make a bunny if you want to. The pattern's an instant download so you get it as soon as I see your order come in. Each bunny will take just a few hours to make, and you can get the pattern here.

Happy stitching!

Best,
Wendi

  2. Those chicks are awesome and the bunnies are all so adorable. I love how easy they are to personalize. I'm also glad to hear that I'm not the only one who salvages my husband's underwear for fabric. :) Poppy
